MEADS postgraduate students are members of the academic community of the University of Macedonia and enjoy all rights and benefits provided by the applicable institutional framework, until the completion of their studies, including any approved extension period, with the exception of free textbook provision.

The Programme ensures equal access to learning materials and teaching activities for students with disabilities and/or special educational needs. Students are also encouraged to participate actively in academic life, including research seminars, literature discussions, conferences, workshops, laboratory visits, and other activities related to the Programme’s subject area.

Students have the right to use University facilities and services, receive timely administrative support, meet with instructors and academic advisors during office hours, review graded examinations, and submit requests or appeals concerning their studies to the Director and the Coordinating Committee. They may also evaluate teaching and University services, participate in student associations and institutional bodies, and benefit from the support of the University’s Career Office for academic and professional development.

MEADS students are expected to comply with the Programme Regulation, the University’s internal rules, and the Code of Ethics. They must respect all members of the academic community, attend courses regularly, submit coursework on time, participate in examinations, complete course selection procedures within the required deadlines, and fulfil all financial obligations. Completion of the financial obligations of the first two semesters is a prerequisite for undertaking the Master’s Thesis.

Students must also respect University premises, facilities, equipment, and safety regulations, and uphold the principles of academic integrity. Before the evaluation of the Master’s Thesis, students are required to submit a declaration confirming that the thesis does not contain plagiarism.

Students receiving scholarships may be asked, by decision of the Coordinating Committee, to provide teaching or research support, including assistance in courses, laboratories, or research activities of the Programme.

Failure to comply with student obligations, violation of academic ethics, excessive absences, failure to complete academic requirements, cheating, plagiarism, inappropriate conduct, or exceeding the maximum duration of studies may lead to disciplinary measures or dismissal from the Programme, following evaluation by the Coordinating Committee and the competent institutional bodies.

Students dismissed from the Programme for reasons other than disciplinary offences may apply for admission again in a future intake. Such applications are evaluated on equal terms with all other applicants, according to the admission criteria in force at that time.
